UDC to Swear in 2024 Officers on Feb. 1

NARROWSBURG — The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) will hold a public swearing-in ceremony and reception for 2024 officers on Thursday, February 1, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Upper Delaware Council office, 211 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY. A Zoom option is offered for remote participation.

Town of Deerpark Town Justice Michael J. Worden will administer the oaths of office to UDC Chairperson Virginia S. Dudko (Town of Deerpark representative), Vice-Chairperson Jeffrey R. Dexter (Damascus Township), and Secretary-Treasurer Alan F. Henry (Berlin Township). Fellow board members elected the officers to those positions on January 4.

Cake and coffee will be served for all members and guests at the meeting’s conclusion.

Worden, who retired from the City of Port Jervis Police Department after 22 years of service as an officer, detective, and sergeant, is also the Town of Deerpark Historian, an award-winning true crime author, speaker, paranormal researcher, and TV commentator. He has served as one of two elected Town Justices for the Deerpark Town Justice Court since January 2022.

The UDC’s monthly business meeting will include status reports from the Delaware River Basin Commission, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, National Park Service, and the UDC Executive Director; as well as discussion of new and old business; and public comment.

All UDC meetings are open to the public.
