Upper Delaware Litter Sweep to Beautify River Valley

NARROWSBURG – Three hundred trash-picking turtle t-shirts are ready and waiting for all volunteers who participate in the 3rd Annual Upper Delaware Litter Sweep from April 22-30!

The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) supplies the 2023 commemorative orange shirts, trash bags, equipment, and coordination, while regional residents supply the people power to whisk away roadside and publicly visible trash throughout the bi-state river valley.

The PA townships of Buckingham, Manchester, Damascus, Berlin, Lackawaxen, Shohola, and Westfall; and NY towns of Hancock, Fremont, Delaware, Cochecton, Tusten, Highland, Lumberland, and Deerpark will all have litter clean-up activity over the nine days.

Contact UDC Litter Sweep Coordinator Ashley Hall-Bagdonas at (845) 252-3022 or ashley@upperdelawarecouncil.org to register a community clean-up (provide date, time, and meeting spot), find out how to join a team, and arrange for pick-up of materials.

This initiative is made possible by donations, grants, and in-kind services pledged by April 15 that will be formally recognized in the UDC’s advertising and publicity outreach.

Donations are accepted by check (P.O. Box 192, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 or drop off at 211 Bridge St.) and PayPal (use the ‘Donate Now’ button at www.upperdelawarecouncil.org).

Follow the UDC on Facebook at www.facebook.com/UpperDelawareCouncil, Instagram @upperdelawarecouncil, and Twitter @UpperDelCouncil.
