UDC Reschedules Awards Ceremony to August 30
Keynote Speaker, The Hon. Jonathan Fritz (PA 111th District)
NARROWSBURG – The Upper Delaware Council, Inc. (UDC) has rescheduled its 32nd Annual Awards Ceremony from June 7 to August 30, with optimistic hope that it will be feasible to resume public gatherings.
The Sunday event will begin at 3 p.m. with an hors d’oeuvres and cash bar reception at the Central House Family Resort, 81 Milanville Road, Beach Lake, PA.
A buffet dinner will be served at 4 p.m. The menu features slow-roasted prime rib, chicken breast parmesan, and baked salmon with maple glaze with accompaniments and dessert.
Pennsylvania Representative Jonathan Fritz, whose 111th District includes portions of Wayne and Susquehanna Counties, will deliver the keynote address.
Awards will be presented to individuals and organizations who have acted to enhance the quality of life and protect the resources of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River Valley. The slate of 2020 honorees will be announced soon.
Reservations at $28 per person will be needed by Friday, August 21.
Established in 1988, the UDC is a non-profit organization whose members are eight towns and five townships that border along the 73.4-mile-long Upper Delaware River corridor, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of New York, and the Delaware River Basin Commission, working cooperatively with the National Park Service to conserve the 1978 Congressionally-designated unit of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System.
