UDC Presents “Global Warming: The Cold, Hard Facts” Sept. 2

NARROWSBURG — The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) will host an educational presentation on “Global Warming: The Cold, Hard Facts” by Gregory R. Wrightstone, executive director of the CO2 Coalition, beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, at the Upper Delaware Council office, 211 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY. All are welcome.

Gregory Wrightstone of Pittsburgh, PA is a geologist with more than 35 years of experience researching and studying various aspects of the Earth’s processes. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Waynesburg University and a Master’s from West Virginia University.

Wrightstone has written and presented extensively around the world on many aspects of geology. In 2017, he published “Inconvenient Facts: The science that Al Gore doesn’t want you to know”.

“The genesis of this book was a desire to discover the truth about a link between man’s activities and the warming trend that is evident. I trusted no one, so I did a deep dive into the base data and what I found shocked me to the core. In nearly every portion of climate science (which eventually turned into chapters), I found that what I was told by the media was contradicted by the science, facts and data,” the author says.

The UDC board currently plans to meet in person, while the interactive presentation will be offered remotely by Zoom and projected. An indoor face mask policy has been reinstated in accordance with Sullivan County health recommendations for COVID Delta variant protocols.

The monthly meeting to follow will include potential status reports from the Delaware River Basin Commission, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, National Park Service, and the UDC Executive Director; discussion of old and new business; and public comment.

All UDC meetings are open to the public. For more information, call (845) 252-3022 or email ashley@upperdelawarecouncil.org.
