RailRiders to Promote Upper Delaware Council at August 1 Game; $15 Tickets Benefit Non-profit Organization

MOOSIC – The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (SWB) RailRiders will feature the Upper Delaware Council (UDC) at their August 1st baseball game at PNC Field in Moosic, PA.

Purchasing $15 tickets from the UDC for this fun, summer outing provides a $5 donation to support its Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River conservation work.
The Tuesday, Aug. 1st, evening game of the SWB RailRiders against the Rochester Red Wings starts at 6:35 p.m. at 235 Montage Mountain Road.

The UDC has reserved a block of seats that are available to transfer through a mobile ticketing system. Email kerry@upperdelawarecouncil.org or call (845) 252-3022 to request the number of tickets needed while providing: 1) the first and last name of the purchaser; 2) an email address to which instructions for accessing the barcoded tickets and saving them to a smartphone will be sent; and 3) a phone number for supplemental contact purposes by the UDC if needed.

Payment of $15 each must be provided in advance of the ticket transfer by cash or checks payable to “UDC”, mailed to P.O. Box 192, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 or dropped off at the UDC office at 211 Bridge St., next to the Narrowsburg Fire Department. Credit card payments are also accepted through https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/upperdelawarecouncil.

At the game, Council representatives will highlight the activities of the 501(c)(3) PA-NY organization and have invited their federal partners at the National Park Service Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River to share important water safety information.

The SWB RailRiders are a Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees and Minor League Baseball team of the International League.

The RailRiders introduced their “Community Organization of the Game” program in 2013 to help local non-profit and civic groups raise awareness of their activities through a pre-game interview, an exhibit table on the concourse, an on-air broadcast of the game on Bold Gold Media’s WICK radio stations, and the chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. There is also a fundraising opportunity through sponsored ticket sales.
