NARROWSBURG – U.S. Congressman Marcus J. Molinaro (NY-19) will deliver the keynote address at the Upper Delaware Council’s 35th Annual River Valley Awards ceremony on September 10 at Central House Family Resort in Beach Lake, PA.
Public nominations for these awards that are bestowed upon individuals, groups, communities, and agencies who have enhanced the quality of life or helped protect the resources of the Upper Delaware River Valley are being accepted through August 18.
Reservations for the banquet, which is also open to the public, are due by September 1 at $33 per person.
The Sunday, September 10, ceremony will include a 3 p.m. reception with appetizers and a cash bar ahead of the 4 p.m. dinner. The buffet features slow-roasted prime rib, baked salmon with maple glaze, and chicken marsala as entrees with side dishes and dessert.
Representative Molinaro will speak at 5 p.m., with the awards presentation to follow.
Marc Molinaro was elected in November of 2022 to serve New York’s 19th Congressional District which includes all or parts of 11 counties, including Sullivan and Delaware in the Upper Delaware River Valley.
A native New Yorker, former Mayor, Dutchess County Legislator, State Assembly Member from 2006-2011 for the 103rd District, and elected Dutchess County Executive from 2011 for three terms, Molinaro’s public service career began in 1994 at the age of 18 when he was elected to serve on the Tivoli Village Board, then became the youngest mayor in America in 1995 and was re-elected five times.
In Congress, Representative Molinaro serves on the House Committees on Agriculture, Transportation & Infrastructure, and Small Business.
