Apply for UDC Grants by August 28

NARROWSBURG – Applications for the Upper Delaware Council’s (UDC) Fiscal Year 2016 Technical Assistance Grants (TAG) program are due by 4:30 p.m. on August 28.

Since 1988, the UDC has awarded $774,325 to help accomplish 230 non-construction projects related to implementation of the River Management Plan for the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River done by its currently 13 NY and PA member municipalities and their county governments. The PA townships of Manchester and Buckingham would be eligible to apply if they joined the Council.

Application forms, grant criteria, contract guidelines, and a directory of past projects are posted on the UDC’s website at www.upperdelawarecouncil.org and available for download.

The UDC’s Project Review Committee will meet on September 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Council’s office in Narrowsburg to hear from applicants and review their proposals.

Approval of FY 2016 grant awards is expected at the October 1 monthly UDC meeting.

Municipalities have 10 months to complete their projects, with reimbursement documentation due to be submitted by August 22, 2016.
