Application Period Open for Summer Park Ranger Jobs

BEACH LAKE, PA – Apply now to join Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River for the 2024 summer season. Two announcements, including one position specific for applicants fluent in Spanish, are open on USAJOBS.gov until February 2 and February 5, 2024, respectively.

The positions will run from May 6, 2024, to September 2, 2024, with a two-week training program that includes an orientation to the National Park Service, Basic First Aid and CPR certification, and American Canoe Association certification.

Park Rangers plays a vital role in protecting and caring for the Upper Delaware River and helping our visitors to recreate safely and responsibly. As part of the Division of Interpretation, the Park Ranger will interact with visitors at boat launch sites and rove the Delaware River by canoe to promote safe river recreation and stewardship. In addition, they will present education programs to local youth groups and summer camps, as well as staff the Zane Grey Museum.

The hourly rate for these GS-5 Park Ranger positions is $22.28 per hour.  The 40-hour work week runs Wednesday through Sunday including holidays.
