2022 Upper Delaware Litter Sweep Shirt Sponsors Needed by March 18

NARROWSBURG – River valley businesses, municipalities, and organizations can show their support for the 2nd Annual Upper Delaware Litter Sweep by becoming keepsake t-shirt sponsors or contributing supplies and services for the April 22-30 series of clean-ups.

As the event coordinator, the Upper Delaware Council (UDC) is offering a limited opportunity for those who donate by March 18 to have their names or logos printed on the eye-grabbing, customized shirts that Litter Sweep volunteers will receive in gratitude.

Contributions will be recognized with progressive prominence in three category levels:

 LITTER ENEMIES: $100
 LITTER AVENGERS: $250
 LITTER SLAYERS: $500

Since last year’s supply of 250 shirts ran out thanks to the huge response for 21 organized clean-up events over a nine-day period, the UDC plans to order approximately 400 shirts neon-colored for safety in 2022 featuring artwork of a bald eagle carrying trash away in its talons that was originally designed by Dan Nelson of Happy Tattoo, Honesdale, PA.

The UDC will also publicize t-shirt sponsors’ generosity in its promotional outreach and social media postings.

That will be the case as well for any offerings of goods and services for this Earth Day inspired initiative that is wholly supported by donations.

Any funds raised beyond the cost of the t-shirts will enable the purchase of additional safety equipment and materials to facilitate the land-based clean-ups that local Litter Leaders will arrange throughout the 15 New York towns and Pennsylvania townships surrounding the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River.

Please contact Ashley Hall-Bagdonas by 12 p.m. on March 18 at (845) 252-3022 or ashley@upperdelawarecouncil.org to reserve a t-shirt sponsorship level.

Click the “DONATE NOW” button on the www.upperdelawarecouncil.org home page to contribute online via https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/upperdelawarecouncil. Checks (with a notation for “2022 Litter Sweep”) may be mailed to the UDC at P.O. Box 192, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 or dropped off at the 211 Bridge Street office.

The UDC will deposit all contributions into a dedicated bank account to be utilized only for this project’s expenses

Individuals and team groups who want to pitch in during the April 22-30 clean-ups should call or email the UDC to be connected with the Litter Leaders in their vicinity.
