Upper Delaware Council to Elect 2026 Officers on Jan. 8

NARROWSBURG — The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) will hold its 2026 Election of Officers at its annual meeting on Thursday, January 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Upper Delaware Council office, 211 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY and virtually by Zoom. Note that this is the second Thursday of the month due to the conflict with the Jan. 1 New Year’s holiday.

Nominated to serve at the Dec. 4 meeting were Chairperson Jeffrey R. Dexter (Damascus Township, PA), Vice-Chairperson Evan Padua (Town of Tusten, NY), and Secretary-Treasurer Alan F. Henry (Berlin Township, PA). The election will take place by ballot; voting board members may also offer nominations from the floor that evening.

A swearing-in ceremony to formally take the oaths of office will take place on Feb. 5, followed by a reception at the end of the meeting.

The UDC’s monthly business meeting to immediately follow the election will include status reports from the Delaware River Basin Commission, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, National Park Service, and the UDC Executive Director; discussion of old and new business; and public comment.

All UDC meetings are open to the public. Dates for the full Council and three standing committees are posted at www.upperdelawarecouncil.org.
