Join UDC for 26 th Annual Raft Trip
NARROWSBURG – The Upper Delaware Council, Inc. (UDC) non-profit organization welcomes all to participate in its 26th Annual Family Raft Trip to be held on Sunday, August 3. The deadline for reservations is July 25.
This year’s raft trip will be on a 10-mile section of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River from the Skinners Falls Access in the Town of Cochecton to the Ten Mile River Access in the Town of Tusten.
Lander’s River Trips is the host livery. Rafts, paddles, life vests, and safety instructions are provided. Children must be at least five years old and able to swim. Minimum occupancy per raft is four people; the rafts can comfortably accommodate six people. The UDC will match participants who do not have at least a foursome at its discretion.
Rafters will park and check in at Lander’s Skinners Falls Campground between the hours of 9-10 a.m. on August 3. Shuttles will transport guests back from the Ten Mile River Access at the end of their trip. The expected travel time for this section is approximately five hours, depending on each group’s desired pace.
Bring drinking water, wear sunscreen and foot protection, and dress to get wet. Small coolers (with no glass containers) may be tied into the rafts. Store personal items in waterproof bags and be prepared to carry out any trash.
The discounted cost is $15 for ages 5-12 and $25 for ages 13 and up. Reservations with advance payments (checks payable to “UDC” or cash) should be mailed to P.O. Box 192, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 or dropped off at the UDC office located at 211 Bridge St.
